There has been a last-minute re-route. We decided that our previous plan was not going to leave us with much time in the places we were most excited about (namely Portland), so we decided to save those for another trip and focus on a smaller area.
Tomorrow we leave lovely Denver for the Garden of the Gods Park near Colorado Springs. From there, we will go down and spend the night somewhere around Farmington, NM.
Sunday we will hit up Four Corners, the point where Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona meet, then up to the area around Moab, which looks incredible (naturally-formed arches and sunset views of a giant canyon that looks similar to the Grand Canyon). Then arrive in SLC later that night to crash.
Monday is yet to be determined, but we will find some nice sights along the road and then probably stay in Reno. (Any better suggestions along that route?)
Tuesday: SF!
